FELLOWSHIP AT ASCENSION

Whenever the people of Ascension are gathered it is an opportunity for fellowship, a time for caring and sharing. The yearly garage sale is an opportunity for members to recycle unused items and earn money to support local and worldwide charities, but is also a week of fun and fellowship for all who are able to support it. Each September, the Ascension family gathers for Rally Day with lots of food and games for the kids as we celebrate the beginning of a new year of Christian education and growth in our faith and commitment.

There are organized fellowship groups that meet specifically for the purpose of fellowship: the Young at Heart Fellowship, the Thirty-Somethings, and the Kool Kids. Each group plans events on a bi-monthly basis which encompass all interests from bowling, to theater, to apple-picking and always include food. Lutherans love carry-ins and love to eat. These groups provide an opportunity for old and new members to become better acquainted with one another and enjoy the friendship of a caring church family.
