St. Louis Servant Camp Update
On Sunday, June 13 a group of youth and adults will leave for St. Louis for a week-long servant camp. They will join with Group Workcamps
Foundation which organizes the week with many other youth groups from around the country to serve in the community of St.
Louis for one week. They will do home repairs for low-income people, serve at food pantries, and other types of service projects. In the
evenings, the youth get together for worship, Bible studies, and fun. The Ascension group will also go indoor rock climbing and do some
sightseeing along the Mississippi River. We will return on Friday, June 18.
We have nine youth and four adults going on the trip. They are: Emma Carlsson, Jonas Carlsson, MacKenzie Green, Jefferson Rutherford,
Katie Coleman, Jacob Mortensen, Jayme Carlton, Chrissy McKinney, Maya Fogelson, Joel Mortensen, Linda Carlsson, John Keller
and Pastor Josh Miller. We have two openings for the trip. If you would like to go, please let Pastor Josh know by the end of March.
We raised $255 at our Valentine’s Day babysitting towards the trip. Thank you to all who took advantage of the babysitting night! The
youth will be hosting the Easter breakfast on Sunday, April 4 as a fundraiser. Our final fundraiser is a talent show/silent auction/spaghetti
dinner on May 8. Please come and support our youth as they prepare for this great event in service and faith!
