Faith Formation
Opportunities to grow in our faith begin with our youngest members in the Pre-Kindergarten Sunday School class for children age 3 years to 5 years and continue through the adult years. Sunday School and Adult Forum classes meet each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. Our “Spark:Activate Faith” curriculum presents a story and theme each week through a variety of activities involving crafts, games, stories and music. Families are encouraged to reinforce the Sunday lesson each week using a weekly family activity sheet that describes the bible story from each Sunday’s lesson, prayers, discussion points, and activities for the family to share together. Confirmation classes meet each Sunday for children 12 to 14 years. The senior high Youth Forum, ages 14-18 years, meets with two adult mentors each Sunday at the church then travels to a local restaurant for an informal discussion of current issues facing teens today. Summer Vacation Bible School and Palm Saturday Workshop also provide additional opportunities for our elementary age children to learn more about God’s plan for their lives.
Adults meet each Sunday morning at 9:45 for the Adult Forum. This small group study revolves around studies of the books of the bible or current topics of interest impacting our local community or our global community. Other small group bible studies are offered for women through the Wheel of Friendship which meets the second Wednesday of each month. Weavings, a weekly bible study that meets each Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. also offers a small group study for all who are interested.
